An exhibition of photographs of Russian Jewish tombstones taken between the 1930s and 1960s opened recently at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. After the photos were taken, many of the tombstones were destroyed and used as construction materials. The exhibit will be displayed through April 30.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
