An eyewitness led Israel to announce that three soldiers kidnapped last year by Hezbollah are dead. Defense Minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer said Wednesday that Israel announced last week that the three are dead because “someone saw.” In October 2000, Hezbollah gunmen kidnapped the soldiers — Benny Avraham, Adi Avitan and Omar Souad — from a disputed area on the Israel-Lebanon border known as Shabaa Farms.
