An Israel Independence Day reception at the Israel Embassy was attended by Government Ministers and senior officials, members of the Diplomatic Corps and leaders of the local Jewish community. In a congratulatory message, Guatemalan President Gen. Idigoras Fuentes declared: “The Guatemalan Government and people reiterate their friendship, appreciation and admiration for the Nation of Israel.”
