An Israeli Arab who apparently tried to hijack a plane en route from Tel Aviv to Istanbul says he didn’t intend to use it as a missile. As his trial opened in Istanbul, Tawfik Fukra, 23, rejected accusations that he intended to turn the El Al flight around and slam it into a Tel Aviv skyscraper.
