An Israeli court ruled that 80 smokers could not file a class-action suit against the Dubek cigarette company. The plaintiffs will instead have to seek damages on a case-by-case basis, the court ruled. The plaintiffs had sought some $243,000 apiece, charging that the Israeli manufacturer had failed to adequately inform the public of the dangers posed by smoking.
