An Israeli soldier was killed by a bomb in the Gaza Strip. The soldier was fatally wounded by a remote-detonated mine Thursday as he fortified a patrol zone in Rafah, a Palestinian town on the Gaza-Egypt border. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
