An Israeli soldier was lightly wounded Sunday in an exchange of fire in the Gaza Strip. The clash occurred in the Gush Katif settlement bloc in southern Gaza. In the West Bank, Israeli troops arrested 15 Palestinians wanted for suspected terrorist activity near Ramallah, Israel Radio reported. Over the weekend, bombs were detonated near Israeli army vehicles near Jenin and Tulkarm. A mortar was fired at an Israeli settlement in the Gaza Strip. There were no injuries in any of the incidents.
