An Israeli woman was killed by a stray bullet in a failed mob hit while on the beach with her family.
Marguerita Lautin, 31, was shot in the chest in front of her husband and two young children just 20 minutes after a passer-by took a picture of the family at the end of a fun-filled day on a Bat Yam beach Monday evening. Several Israeli daily papers published the family photo.
The two shooters fled the scene on motorcycles. Reports said the intended target was likely two men who work for the Aberjil crime family, who were sitting at a nearby cafe.
Police arrested four men in connection with the shooting.
The Tel Aviv District Police said it will expand its presence at beaches and ports.
