An official at the center of accusations of religious intolerance at the U.S. Air Force Academy was denied a promotion. Brig. Gen. Johnny Weida, the academy’s commandant of cadets, was taken off a list of Air Force generals slated to receive Senate confirmation for a second star last week, the Colorado Springs Gazette reported, but no explanation was given.
