Anger over Israel’s crackdowns against Palestinians often is anti-Semitism, Ariel Sharon said. Addressing Canadian Zionists in Jerusalem on Thursday, Israel’s prime minister said those who deny Israel’s right to self-defense deny its “birthright to exist.” Sharon added, “Regrettably, we see this phenomenon among many nations in the world community, and I would say that this is a new form of anti-Semitism.”
