The members of the Anglo-American Commission of Inquiry on Palestine arrived here today from Italy, and will begin hearings tomorrow morning.
According to present arrangements, the hearings will be confined to tomorrow and Monday, after which the committee will leave for Palestine, where it plans to spend about three weeks.
Abdul Rahman Azzam Rey, secretary general of the Arab League, is expected to testify tomorrow, presenting the general view of the Arab nations on the Palestine issue.
Later, representatives of the individual Arab countries will give evidence, supplementing the report by Azzam Bey. It is known that a Syrian and Saudi Arabian representative are scheduled to be heard, while a delegation from Iraq is reported to be a route.
Hearings will be held in the Mona House Hotel which is on the outskirts of Cairo. It was the scene of the “Cairo Conference” of the late President Roosevelt, then Prime Minister Churchill and Chiang Kei-Shek.
