In a move toward reconciliation with the Board of Deputies of British Jews, the Anglo-Jewish Association last night adopted a resolution “welcoming” the establishment of “permanent machinery for consultation” with the Board on all aspects of foreign affairs.
Two other motions on the subject were withdrawn after this was adopted. They called for: the Association to rejoin the Board, from which it had withdrawn; and for the AJA and Board to re-establish a joint foreign affair’s committee.
