A meeting held to protest against the holding of the international Freethinkers’ Congress in London ended yesterday in a noisy anti-Semitic Demonstration. When Lord Glasgow, who presided, refused to accept an amendment blaming Jews for the Congress, there were cries of “Down with the Jews!”

Some persons in the audience stood up shouting “Heil Hitler!” A clergyman on the platform interrupted them with cries of “shame!” the resolution which was passed states that the meeting was organized by British Christian and patriotic societies and denounced the congress as a subtle and dangerous maneuver of the Communist international.
