Eric Zander, a Jewish druggist, was attacked and severely injured today at noon in the Berlin subway by a gang of anti-Semitic National Socialists. Although the attack took place in a crowded train no one made any move to halt the attackers. Zander was taken from the train at the Buelowstrasse station and his wounds treated. Later in the day in another train a young German who looked Jewish was also attacked by a band of Hitlerites.
