Despite an intensive propaganda drive, anti-Semitic parties failed to win a single council seat in the municipal elections.

Of the 36 seats, 27 were won by the Liberals, 6 by the National Peasants Party and 3 by the Dissident Liberals. Order prevailed during and after the elections.

The results were regarded as significant forecasts of the general elections which will be held at the end of the Summer.
