The extreme right-wing and anti-Semitic League of Empire Loyalists today picked a heavily Jewish area in which to present a candidate for the next general elections.
The League entered A. Brookes as a candidate for Bournemouth. Brookes has been directing the League’s publications, “Truth” and “Candor,” which have taken on a definite anti-Semitic tone. Brookes is the third candidate. MP Nigel Nicholson, who was disowned by the local electorate for opposing the Suez Operation, and Major James Friend, a former member of the League, had previously announced their candidacies.
