A viciously anti-Semitic pamphlet entitled “Global Catastrophe is Imminent” has appeared on new stands throughout Rome. Written in a style reminiscent of Nazi literature, the pamphlet quotes the forged “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” to prove that the world is threatened by destruction by “Jewish freemasonry, Jewish Bolshevism and the Jewish press.”

A protest by the Union of Jewish Communities in Italy to the police authorities was rejected with the assertion that they could do nothing about the matter because the press laws guarantee complete freedom of the press. The Union has now taken its case to the Public Prosecutor’s office and to the Ministry of the Interior.
