Appeals for support of the Jewish cause in general and for combating anti-Semitism in particular featured the inspirational rally and musicale of the Metropolitan Conference of Temple Brotherhoods, held last night at the Congregation Emanu-El Men’s Club.
Rabbi Samuel H. Goldenson of Temple Emanu-El and Samuel H. Finkel, president of the National Federation of Temple Brotherhoods, addressed the gathering of nearly 2,000 delegates from all parts of New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Westchester.
Violin solos were offered by Samuel Turesky. Cantor Alfred Herskowitz sang. Rabbi Isaac Landman delivered the invocation and Rabbi Nathan Stern pronounced the benediction. Hugo Levy presided.
