The authorities imposed 24-hour curfew on the village of Taiba, in the Tulkarem district, for damaging railway tracks. An additional force of 200 men will be placed on road patrol duty. Half of these likewise are motorized. A new police corps equipped with machine guns and radio sending apparatus was formed in the Holy City. The corps, whose Nucleus will be 11 British and 36 Arab agents, is to be commanded by one British and one Palestinian officer. Radio and machine-gun equipment will be carried muleback on expeditions. Similar units are planned for other districts.
