A gang of Arab infiltrees who invaded the Western Negev today suffered a costly defeat, a military spokesman revealed here tonight.
The marauders, after they had penetrated a considerable distance inside Israel, walked into an ambush laid by an Israeli military unit. After an exchange of shots the Arabs withdrew, but stumbled into a minefield. There a number of them were killed. The remainder fled toward Gaza.
