Arabs should emphasize the positive in the recent exchange of letters between President Bush and Ariel Sharon, a top Saudi official said. Prince Bandar Bin Sultan, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Washington, said there was much to be said for an agreement widely derided in the Arab world because of President Bush’s recognition of some Israeli claims to the West Bank and his rejection of a Palestinian “right of return” to Israel.
