Arabs to Strike Today in Sympathy with Syrians

The Arabs will stage a strike tomorrow in sympathy with the Nationalist uprisings in Syria. The strike decision was announced in a joint proclamation by leaders of various Arab parties.

The Communists had issued a manifesto to the Arabs calling upon them to declare the strike.

An anti-French demonstration was staged by the legislature of Transjordan in sympathy with the Syrian nationalists, it was reported here. Transjordan is a separate territory under the Palestine League of Nations Mandate.

Arab newspaper reported today that a program of activities for the new green-shirted nationalist organization founded by the Grand Mufti was worked out at a secret meeting attended by leader of its branches throughout the country. The green-shirted troops are modeled on a similar organization in Egypt.
