Ariel Sharon vowed that Israel would never allow a repeat of the Holocaust. “The Jews have one small country, blessed with talents,” the Israeli prime minister said Tuesday in a meeting with Israel Air Force pilots who took part in a symbolic flight over Auschwitz last year. “We must remember that this is the only place in the world where Jews have the right and the power to defend themselves.”
