Reduction in unemployment is expected to result from Government army contracts concluded with Jewish firms here.

The military authorities have placed an order for 1,000 pairs of boots with cooperative Jewish shoemakers, providing work for 60 cooperative members for a period of six week.

The Jerusalem police have also placed an order valued at £1,000 with a local Jewish firm. These orders are said to be the forerunners of many more.
