A painful scene occurred today in the town of Landesberg, where the local Jewish doctor, his non-Jewish wife and her aged mother were marched through the streets of the town carrying insulting placards.

Later, the mother was placed on a public tribune, to be condemned by the entire population for stating that she was proud of her daughter.

The entire German press continues to stimulate the movement begun by the Nazi authorities to have Aryans divorce their Jewish wives or husbands and to punish intermarriage.

The newspapers characterize these forced divorces as being “in the interest of the state” and quote Alfred Rosenberg, notorious anti-Semite and unofficial foreign minister of the Nazi party, “that marriages between Germans and Jews must be prohibited and sexual relations punished by confiscation of property, imprisonment and even death.

“Any German woman who voluntarily associates with a Jew or with a Negro, should lose the right of state protection,” the Nazi firebrand declared, “while the children of such unions should be refused citizenship.”
