The cooperation of Louis Marshall, President of the American Jewish Committee, in settling the difficulties of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers Union was asked by Benjamin Schlesinger, recently elected president of the International, according to a report in the New York “Day.”

Mr. Schlesinger was to confer with Mr. Marshall yesterday on the proposal that he become the chairman of a non-partisan committee to supervise the new elections, the report states.

Interviewed by the Jewish Daily Bulletin, Mr. Schlesinger would neither confirm nor deny the report.
