The trial here of 22 former personnel of the Auschwitz concentration camp, charged with the murder of about 300,000 Jews, is expected to resume this week, since the court, prosecutors and defense attorneys have returned from Poland, where testimony was taken from 20 witnesses. The trial has been under way since December 1963. The court had recessed to sessions in Poland for two weeks.

Oscar Christ, 53-year-old chief of the security police in Wiesbaden–which is the headquarters of the 7th United States Air Force–was suspended from his post here today after being arrested on a charge of having been a Nazi war criminal. He was arrested last weekend on information from the Central Agency for Investigating Nazi Crimes, which charged that, during World War II, he had killed seven Russian Jews in a part of the USSR occupied by the German army.
