The Australian Government declared in a statement today that it takes a serious view of the increasing number of refugees arriving on tourist visas without immigration permits and will deport them after expiration of their visas, and also will not approve subsequent applications for permits. Jewish organizations are concerned over the influx of refugees on tourist visas.
