Bernard M. Baruch and Earl G. Harrison were the recipients of honorary degrees today at the annual commencement exercises of Yeshiva University. Mr. Baruch received the degree of Doctor of Law, and Mr. Harrison that of Doctor of Humane Letters.
Fifty-five graduates received diplomas at the ceremonies, which were presided over by Dr. Samuel Belkin, president of the university. Dr. Belkin expressed the hope that the U.N. Palestine committee would seek a solution motivated not by expediency or power politics, but by the needs of the Jewish people, to whom Palestine was promised in the Bible.
