Two Bedouin gypsy women have been committed for trial to the District Court at Jaffa charged with the attempted kidnaping of a young Jewish girl, Vehudith Barzilai, in Tel Aviv. The child was taken from a perambulator by the elder of the two women, but was rescued in time by the child’s mother.

One of the gypsy women claims she was merely looking into the carriage, while the younger denied everything, saying they had been attacked without cause by the Jewish mother.
