Jacob Ben-Ami who recently returned from a six months’ stay abroad, has been engaged by Mayhern Productions to play the leading role in their forthcoming production, “A Ship Comes In,” a new play by Joseph Anthony. It will mark Ben-Ami’s first local appearance in nearly three years, his last appearance being in Arch Selwyn’s production of “Even Song.”
In the play Ben-Ami is cast for a part said to be radically different in any of his previous roles.
The scene of the play is laid partly in Vienna, and on an ocean liner. The production will open for a week, prior to the New York opening, at the Boulevard Theatre, Jackson Heights, on Tuesday, September 11.
