Bernard Baruch, American representative on the U.N. Atomic Energy Commission, was yesterday awarded a citation as the “outstanding citizen of New York for 1946” by the Kiwanis Club at a luncheon at the Hotel McAlpin.
The citation which was given Mr. Baruch as citizen, economist, public servant, statesman and philanthropist took note of “his continued services to the United States and all mankind, even after he has passed the life spend of three-quarters of a century; for his aid in winning World Wars I and II and for the honor and distinction that the he has brought to the City of New York.”
