Some 120 delegates from 16 countries met here today for a convention of the Latin American District of B’nai B’rith in the Vina del Mar scashore resort near here.
Among those taking part in the convention program were Dr. William Wexler, international president of B’nai B’rith, and Saul E. Jeftes, director of its international council. Manuel Bianchi Gundian, president of the Interamerican Commission of Human Rights of the Organization of American States, was awarded the B’nai B’rith Human Rights Medal of Merit.
Delegations taking part in the convention represented lodges in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Curacao, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
