B’nai B’rith women today announced the launching of a coast-to-coast survey to determine the career choices of Jewish youth.
The survey will seek to determine whether discrimination is affecting vocational plans, career choices, also whether teen-agers are influenced by parents’ occupations and an estimate of how many are planning careers in Jewish communal educational, religious, social-service agencies.
B’nai B’rith women plan to interview more than 50,000 teen-agers between 13 and 19 years old during April and May. It is the first depth study which reaches such a large sampling of affiliated Jewish youth and marks the first time a national organization has attempted such research with volunteers.
