Military authorities are trying to establish the identities of two heavily armed men whose bodies were found on a beach south of Gaza this week.
It remains unclear who sent them and how they arrived. But the weapons they carried left little doubt that they were infiltrators on their way to commit a terrorist act.
They drowned before they reached their target, an Israel Defense Force spokesman said.
