Bolivia is prepared to admit a limited mumber of Jewish immigrants, provided that they can prove that they have worked on the land and possess $2,500 in cash, machinery or tools, Under-Secretary of Information Dr. Rigoberto Armaza told the JTA today. He denied that Bolivia’s immigration laws discriminate against Jews, but pointed out that the quota of Jewish immigrants is almost exhausted. There are 5,000 Jewish refugees residing here.
