Boston Mayor Leaves for Israel; May Visit Jordan-held Territory

Mayor John B. Hynes and Fred Monosson, prominent Zionist and communal leader, left today by plane for Israel. The Mayor also expects to visit the part of Palestine held by Jordan.

During his stay in Israel, Dr. Monosson will confer with Minister of Justice Pinchas Rosen on the Israel legal code, and on a project to obtain the cooperation of Harvard University’s School of Law in the drafting of the code. He will also participate in the dedication of two new buildings for the Weizmann Institute at Rehovoth. Mr. Monosson is vice-president of the American Committee for the Institute.
