Great Britain “never had any intention of handing over Palestine to the Jews; that could only be done with injustice to the Arabs,” the Archbishop of York declared today addressing a group of Protestant clergymen here. He said that the British Government had only promised that “within Palestine there would be a home for the Jews, and that promise had been most faithfully carried out.”
