Britain’s foreign secretary visited Israel. Margaret Beckett arrived in Israel late Monday for talks with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Defense Minister Amir Peretz. She was expected to visit the Palestinian Authority on Wednesday. Beckett’s main aim is to explore ways of reviving the “road map” peace plan.
