Britain’s Orthodox chief rabbi said he will not attend a U.N. conference against racism set to begin in Durban, South Africa, on Aug. 31 because of a draft resolution that singles out Israel for harsh criticism. Rabbi Jonathan Sacks had been invited to join an “Eminent Persons Group” providing an ethical underpinning to the conference.
