Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II will not attend the nation’s first Holocaust Memorial Day on Saturday. Buckingham Palace said the queen’s schedule was planned months in advance and she would not interrupt an extended Christmas break. Prince Charles, her son and heir to the throne, will attend a commemorative ceremony, the palace said.
