British Jewish groups criticized the appointment of a controversial Muslim scholar to a government task force on Islamic fanaticism. Professor Tariq Ramadan, banned from the United States and France due to his alleged sympathies for Islamist violence, will sit on the working group on tackling extremism, the Guardian reported.
