A Parliamentary debate on Palestine will probably be held next Friday, it was reported today.
The debate has been demanded by the opposition, whose stand will be outlined by former Colonial Secretary Oliver Stanley. Reuters says tonight that Stanley will demand that the government fix a definite date for the withdrawal of British troops from Palestine, but will not suggest a retreat in the face of extremist pressure.
