British Seaman Sentenced for Wounding Policeman During Anti-jewish Riots

Hugh Devine, a 24-year-old seaman, was today sentenced by a Liverpool court to nine months imprisonment for wounding a policeman ## last summer’s anti-Jewish riots in the port city. This is the heaviest sentence thus far meted out to anybody who participated in the anti-Semitic attacks.
