Bulgaria Forbids Zionist Activities; Belgrade Jewish Chemist Imprisoned for Sabotage

Zionist activities were officially declared illegal yesterday throughout Bulgaria, according to a report from Sofia carried in the Swiss press today. Unofficially the Zionist movement in Bulgaria has been forbidden for many months.

The Bulgarian newspaper “Mir” reaching here today reports that a Jewish chemist, Alina Slina, was sentenced to life imprisonment by the military authorities of Belgrade on the charge that he was producing explosives used by the Serbian guerillas to blow up bridges in Nazi-held Yugoslavia.
