Thousands of Jews walked here from Tel-Aviv today in search of meals as a result of the strike in the restaurants and cafes of the all-Jewish city.
The strike, which was called on Friday, continued until late in the evening today, when striking waiters agreed, under pressure of the municipality, to resume their work. Their demands for an increase in wages and for fixed hours of work will be settled by arbitration.
