Canada’s foreign minister called on Syria and Lebanon to work toward Israeli-Palestinian peace. Pierre Pettigrew met Feb. 10 with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah and urged both Israel and the Palestinian Authority to show restraint and remain focused on the goal of peace.
