Canadian Jewry was on the verge of reaching its $25,000,000 goal for the Israel Emergency Fund today when an additional $1,500,000 was sent to Israel bringing total contributions past the $24,500,000 mark.
Toronto was first among Canadian Jewish communities with $10,000,000 in contributions. Montreal Jewry was a close second, raising $9,300,000.
