Foreign Secretary Anthony Eden told the House of Commons today that he had no information that Danzig did not intend to fulfill its promises to the League of Nations Council to abide by its constitution.

His statement was made in reply to an interrogation by Rhys J. Davies, Laborite, declaring that there has been no change as yet in the treatment of Jews, minorities and opposition newspapers in Danzig. He asked Captain Eden what steps had been proposed to implement the League’s decisions.

Captain Eden, who was League rapporteur on the Danzig question, asserted that Sean Lester, League High Commissioner for Danzig, would be able to count on the support and influence of all the powers represented in the council.

Replying to Sir Charles Cayzer, Captain Eden reviewed the decisions of the council on German refugees.
