More than $2,376,000 of the Chicago Combined Jewish Appeal’s quota of between $16,000,000 and $18,000,000 of the 1948 drive of the United Jewish Appeal was raised or pledged here last night at a dinner attended by more than 500 business and professional men in this city. Among the speakers was former Gov. Herbert H. Lehman.
